BLOGGER: Adding A Link List

...

...
  1. First, you have to look on your left hand side of the page and you will see a list of links (posts, stats, comments, earnings, campaigns, pages, layout, template, settings, reading list and help). You have to press the layout link.
  2. Once you have pressed the layout link you have to scroll down the page and get to the point where it says 'sidebar-right-1' and right below this heading there will be a blue link that says 'add a gadget'. You should press that link.
  3. Once you have done that, it will take you to another site with a long list of gadgets. Scroll down the list until you find 'links list'.
  4. Press 'links list' and it should take you to another site that has the heading - 'Configure Links List'. Here, you write the title of the link list you want and then you can add the sites that you want to be within this links list. So here, in the video above, I added the sites of two of my blog posts (FCPX: Key Framing and FCPX: Uploading video to YouTube) that I wanted to be in the same link list called 'Tech Tips'.
  5. I then pressed save which you MUST do. After you press that the page will disappear and take you back to the original layout page which we started on.
  6. Once you are back on this page, you MUST press save arrangement to save what you have just added. If you want to move the link list to a different place within the sidebar-right-1 e.g. below 'Blog Archive' or 'About Me', you just drag the link list to a place you want it in that sidebar. You can see me drag the link list lower down the side bar at 2:00 in the video.

My FILM IDENT 1

...

...

I edited and experimented with different non diegetic music to this ident on GarageBand. You can see here on the left, the different free loops I used together to create the non-diegetic music for this ident.

I sped the music up so that the ending didn't sound so abrupt because the music I made was longer than the clip of the moving image itself. I enjoyed adding layers on layers (layering) for the background moving image (the clouds in the sky moving clip, lots of big yellow lights flickering clip). Also, I experimented with the colour of the whole clip. I went on the colour board and changed the colour of the original clouds in the light blue sky clip to pink instead of light blue.

I made a second version of this ident which has an added image/layer (of starry galaxy) on the background. I also adjusted the speed of the music (non diegetic sound) back to its original speed because I liked the sound of it more even if there was an abrupt ending.

...

...

Finally, for this ident I changed the colour of the 'Ethereal Entertainment' font to pink/purple. I thought these colours were clear to see and matched the background colours and images more. I also increased the size of the font to make it clearer to see and more prominent.

PITCH 1

...

...

After this pitch I decided this idea wasn't going to work because:

  1. I decided that the idea of 7-8 year old children bullying and victimizing a 7-8 year old girl on a playground wasn't appropriate and would be hard to film because of parental agreement necessary. I thought that parents probably wouldn't want their children to be endorsed with bullying. Also, the whole scene could be very influential to children that age. So this made me realise that the whole film opening idea of showing the past life of the female killer being bullied as a child would not be appropriate or strictly feasible. This realisation made me have to change my idea completely, therefore I had to think of another motive which a female killer could have.
  2. Filming at night time in town is hard and also not that feasible unless you have a special lighting kit. Also, I realised there would be a lot of people around in town who I didn't really want to be in the in view of the camera. So, my next idea was to film in the forest where there aren't any people and it's quiet so you can here any dialogue being spoken.
